Heroin, as a common drug injected by people who use drugs, was not available in the market in the last few years in Indonesia. Based on reports and observations from the field, it was noted that heroin made a came back in mid-2019. Therefore, this study was made to identify the different context on injecting drug use based on the current heroin market availability among the community of people who inject drugs.
Specifically, this study aims to illustrate the current situation on drug use, identify any changing trends, map the social and risk network, identify key barriers and enablers, capture the perspective of service providers, and provide recommendations to inform policy reform.
